Role Permission Matrix

Tech admin
District-wide administration and visibility:
- Create and manage observations, choosing a school when their account has no school assignment, and view all observations in the district
- Manage teachers
- Invite and manage users
- Manage schools
- Configure the district, including its evaluation framework
- View district and school analytics
District leader
District-wide evaluation, people, and oversight:
- Create and manage their own observations across schools
- View all observations in the district
- Manage teachers
- Invite and manage Cabinet, Principal, Assistant Principal, and Evaluator accounts
- Cannot create, edit, deactivate, or delete tech admins, other district leaders, or their own account
- View district and school analytics
- Cannot configure the district or manage schools
Cabinet
District leadership, insights only:
- View district and school analytics
- No access to individual observations, administrative settings, or user management
Principal
School-wide, within their school:
- Create and manage observations, and view all observations at their school
- Manage teachers
- Invite users for their school
- View school analytics
Assistant principal
Within their school:
- Create and manage their own observations, and view all observations at their school
- Manage teachers
- View school analytics
- Cannot manage user accounts or open another evaluator's finished summative
Evaluator
Within their school:
- Create and manage their own observations
- Manage teachers
Note: Principals and assistant principals see observations across their whole school. Evaluators see only observations they created. Each school leader still edits only the observations they created.
